The temperature in Florida Can dip down into the teens at night. You must equip yourself in such a way that is keeping you warm and keeping you loyal to accuracy at the same time.

The ends of your tent need to be covered. If you are using a shelter (Dog) tent you need to arrange some blankets, using  some rope over the openings.

A ground cloth (Gym Blanket) inside your tent goes down first and makes a good insulator.

Next put down a good layer of hay. Hay also makes a good insulator and helps keep down the movement of air under the sides of the tent.

Next lay down a wool blanket to lie on.

Then cover yourself with enough wool blankets to keep your warm depending on how cold it is.

At 20 degrees fahrenheit you will need about four wool blankets.

Make sure your feet are covered.

You will also need two pairs of wool socks. knit gloves, and a knit hat. The knit hat can be pulled down over the ears, eyes and nose.

Some people like to use their rain poncho as one of the blankets. Because it is rubber coated on one side it will trap your body heat and keep you as warm as two blankets. Some people do not like to use their poncho because it will also trap moisture making you some what damp. Because wool breaths the moisture is evaporated with out it.

A rolled up banket tied with some rope makes a good pillow.

Remember, first one up starts the camp fire. Your pards will appreciate it.
