After using your items for an event, wash and
dry them with a soft cloth.
Do not remove the blackening. After drying,
rub with mineral oil inside and out. The oil helps to preserve the tin and solder. When
packing for an event wash with soap and water, dry well.
Always
keep liquid in the item when using. Full is best. The lower the liquid the further away
from the fire it should be. Cook and heat over glowing coals, not leaping flames. Do not
fry foods in soldered tin ware. Use wooded utensils inside tin ware. Do not scratch or
gouge the metal.
